A combination of altitude, high rainfall and almost constant cloud-cover with drenching mists nourish a prolific and unique plant life in the Rwenzori Mountain Range. This photograph was taken at 10,000 feet on the trail between Nyabitaba Hut (8,700 feet) and John Matte Hut (11,200 feet).
