Star camera. This camera, at the Sydney Observatory, Australia was used in the 'Carte du Ciel' (Map the Stars) project, which involved 18 observatories worldwide and was initiated in the late 19th century. The lens for the telescope was manufactured by Sir Howard Grubb, in Dublin, Ireland. The remainder of the telescope was manufactured locally. As well as being used to map stars the telescope was used to photograph the moon and other stellar phenomenon.
