Body-worn hearing aids. These hearing aids were designed to be carried in a pocket or worn on a strap, with the moulds fitting into the ears to transmit the sounds amplified by the electronics. The hearing aids are seen here with a carrying case. Later designs reduced the size of the hearing aids so they could be worn behind the ears. Photographed at Leiden University Medical Centre, Leiden, The Netherlands.
