Western rockhopper penguin (Eudyptes chrysocome) emerging from the sea. The rockhopper penguin, the smallest of the crested penguins, lives on sub-Antarctic islands. It walks with a bouncing gait, and can leap up to 2 metres from rock to rock. It uses its stubby wings to propel it through the water while hunting fish and krill. Photographed on Saunders Island, the Falkland Islands.
