Aimable Jean Jacques Pelissier (1794-1864) French soldier, 1857. Served in Spain, Algeria and the Crimea. During the Crimean War (Russo-Turkish W ar) 1853-1856 Pelissier commanded the first corps of French army which co-operated with British at Sebastapol. Carried fort of Malakoff by storm (1856).
