Meyerhofferite mineral. The mineral Meyerhofferite is a rare nesoborate mineral (Ca2.B6.O6.(OH)10.2[H2O]) named for German chemist Wilhelm Meyerhoffer. This sample has occurred as an aggregate of pseudorhombohedral crystals. This specimen, from Death Valley, California, USA, is 30 centimetres across.
