Refracting celestial telescope. This kind of telescope uses lenses to produce a magnified view of a distant object. Here, the telescope has a focal length of 700mm, with a front glass (objective) of 60mm diameter. This telescope also features a 90-degree prism to allow comfortable viewing when the telescope is pointed upward and a small 'spotter' scope used for approximate pointing.
