The annual celebration is held on 8 November; to commemorate and thank the 馻titas; which are skulls kept in shrines at home. These skulls are considered as helpers and intercessors for the living. The largest celebration is at the Cementerio General (Cemetery General). This photo was taken during the afternoon of the Fiesta; and shows a skull wearing a typical local knit hat and crowned with a wreath.
