Mrs Ayrton Gould , a daughter of the late Professor Ayrton , held the attention of the Royal Commision of Awards to investors at the Law Courts while she discussed the highly scientific processes connected with searchlights . It was claimed that the late Professor Ayrton had invented an ideal burning carbon .
