The results of the police enquiries into the activities of the 'Cagoulards' (hooded men secret society) were revealed in Paris by the French Minister of the interior, M Marx Dormay. 'Searches have shown', he said 'that we are faced by an organisation modelled on army lines. Seized documents revealed that the plotters aimed at the overthrow of Republican Institutions and their substitution by a dictatorship before proceedings to the restoration of the Monarchy'.
