January 1957 - Eastbourne Sussex - Mr Kenneth MacDonald, Pill cashier at the Midland Bank is seen after giving evidence at the Eastbourne Magistrates court, where the hearing of the murder charge against Dr John Bodkin Adams continues. Dr Adams, 57, is accused of murdering a patient, Mrs Edith Alice Morrell, 81, by a drugs overdose in November 1950. The crown also alleges he caused the deaths of two other Eastbourne residents, Alfred John Hullett , 71, and his widow, Gertrude Hullett, 50, who died within four months of each other. Mr Pill told the court that Dr Adams had handed him a cheque for ?000 in July 1956.
