'Luvverly' - that's the only word to describe the 'My Fair Lady' Ascot dress being admired by four-year-old Joanna Rotas in the mirror during a fitting session. The dress has been designed by her couturier father Peter Rotas for the Blue Bird children's party being held at London's Hyde Park Hotel in aid of the League of Pity, the children's section of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. The dress is in whiter paper taffeta with an Edwardian draped skirt banded with narrow black velvet and decorated with matching black roses. There is a matching hat and an elegant parasol completes the ensemble. January 6th 1959
