GESTURES Vittorio Gassman performs the interpretation of theatrical gestures or "tragic attitudes" (Morrocchesi): sitting upside down on a chair; her head tilted to the side mouth closed but teeth bared; his hands clenched into fists in a movement towards you. Possible significance: anger and despair. With other actors in the world have participated in the investigation on the value of gesture in human culture promoted by Unesco at the V International Congress of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences held in Philadelphia in 1956; and that Italy was led by dr. Romano Calisi and Ando Gilardi. Later; the director of the Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions of Rome; prof. Tullio Tentori; including the value of research; he joined the group as an archivist and curator. The investigation was turned into an exhibition.
