The Verdana monastery is situated at the foot of the mountain of the same name that overlooks it, and is within the Park of the Belluno Dolomites. Built, extended and modified over the centuries, on the basis of an ancient building used as a hospice dedicated to St. Mark Verdana. The Carthusian Monastery is the starting point for many itineraries in the Monti del Sole, including the ascent to Spiz Verdana and thematic itinerary "The Way of the Hospices"
