Brown Tree Snake (Boiga irregularis) foraging at night. These rear-fanged colubrid snakes are venomous but not considered to be dangerous. They are common in northern and eastern Australia in forest areas and frequently enter human habitations. They grow to a length of 2 metres and feed on small mammals, birds (including caged birds) and lizards (particularly geckos). Irvinebank, North Queensland, Australia.
