Female Eclectus parrot (Eclectus roratus) feeding on figs. This is a large, stocky, noisy, and conspicuous parrot frequently found in rainforests. It is native to the Solomon Islands among other places in the Indo-pacific region. It is one of the few species in which the female is more brightly colored than the male. The male is mainly green with an orange or pinkish bill, while the female is mainly red with a bright blue breast and shoulders and a black bill.
