Bear Lake on the Idaho-Utah border, photographed from the International Space Station on September 6, 2016, by a member of the Expedition 48 crew. The swirls of sediment in the center may be from the outflow of Swan Creek or Fish Haven Creek. Below the brightest swirl is a small delta laid down by North Eden Creek, with two center-pivot irrigation fields. Sediment from North Eden is carried along the shoreline by lake currents, to the the north end of the lake (lower right). The green wetland in the lower right corner is Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The forested area across the top of the photo is part of Cache National Forest.
