The green-flowered fishhook cactus, Mammillaria viridiflora, can have flowers that vary from pale greenish white to light pink. This rare species is found from southwestern New Mexico west into eastern Arizona. It prefers sandy or granitic soils within the juniper/pinyon belt at the lower edge of the Rocky Mountains mountain forest.
