The peak of the 2016 Perseid Meteor Shower in August from Yosemite National Park in California. This 70mm telephoto composite image shows the setting moonlight on iconic El Capitan and Half Dome, and the Pleiades star cluster rising in the sky. Meteors are caught on 12 frames of a photo sequence over 20 minutes and are aligned with background stars and superimposed to a single image of the sequence.
