'Miniature portrait of Major Sir Frederick FitzWygram, M.C., 2nd Battalion Scots Guards. Born 1884, died 1920. Captured on the 17th May 1915 (Battle of Festubert) commanding F Company. He is mentioned in the book 'The Scots Guards in the Great War' by Loraine F. Petre, Wilfrid Ewart and Cecil Lowther, published by Murray in 1925. See Pages 93 to 95. The family motto is 'Dulcius Amor Patrice - The love of one's country is sweet.' F.W.'
