The Aldermaston Marches - anti-nuclear weapons demonstrations which followed a route between the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment at Aldermaston in Berkshire, England, and London. This photograph shows the first major Aldermaston march held during Easter (4?7 April) 1958, organised by the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War (DAC) and supported by the recently formed CND. This photograph was taken on the final day of the march.
