Whitehall Chapel aka Chapel Royal, Whitehall Palace, Westminster, London, England. After the destruction of most of the Whitehall Palace by fire in 1698, the banqueting house was converted by Christopher Wren into a royal chapel. The interior had splendid ceiling panels, commissioned by Charles I to be painted by Rubens. From Old England: A Pictorial Museum, published 1847.
