Imantodes cenchoa is a rear-fanged (Opisthoglyphous) colubrid. The venom is too mild to affect humans and is chewed into the prey, here an Anolis lizard, using grooved teeth at the rear of the mouth. Photographed in the Amazon Rainforest, Ecuador.
