Distorted pixels. Old TVs had cathode ray tubes that projected electrons onto different electroluminescent compounds to produce the different colors on the screen. These picture elements, pixels for short, emit light in relation to the number of electron collisions. Here, a very thick convergent lens has been placed between an old CRT TV and the camera. This lens is very effective at its centre but generates interesting spherical aberrations at the edge of the field.
