Andrew Fabian (born 1948), British astrophysicist. Fabian's research involves X-ray astronomy and high energy astrophysics, studying galaxy clusters, active galactic nuclei, strong gravity and black holes. He is a Professor at the Institute of Astronomy, the University of Cambridge. He was elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 1996, and served as President of the Royal Astronomical Society from 2008 to 2010. His awards include an OBE (2006), the Dannie Heineman Prize for Astrophysics (2008) and the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society (2012).
