Jersey tiger moth (Euplagia Quadripunctaria) resting on a branch in a garden habitat. The flight period is July to September with single generation each year. This species is a member of the Erebidae family and is found throughout Europe and the Palearctic ecozone. Their larval foodplant are nettles. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in July.
