Battery Lindemann was a Nazi-German coastal defense against invasion of Nazi-occupied France by Allied forces. Battery Lindemann had three 406mm Adolf canons, housed in three casemates named Anton, Bruno and Caesar. The casemates had enough space to house living quarters for soldiers, munitions storage, toilets, engine rooms and showers. Coastal batteries were a part of Nazi Germany's Atlantic Wall: made of coastal defensive structures that stretched across Europe from Nazi-occupied continental Europe to Scandinavia.
