A Memorial To Last Through The Ages: A view of Rushmore Mountain, located in the black hills of South Dakota, out of which are to be carved colossal heads of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt to stand as a national Memorial lasting generations. Stone workers under the direction of Gutzon Borglum, noted sculptor, have already begun cutting into the huge granite mass for the first of the four figures, that of Washington. Besides the four great heads, a five hundred word history of the United States, written by ex-president Calvin Coolidge, will be cut into the surface of the mountain as part of the memorial.
