The Face Of South Africa - Zululand, in Natal's sub-tropical coastal belt, is one of the Native Reserves - whole districts of good farming land set aside in perpetuity for native African occupation. Here, over a quarter of a million Zulus live, for the most part. in their beehive-shaped kraals which decorate the countryside, their fertile land providing them with the necessities of their simple life The Native Trust encourages improved methods of farming, and Africans can be trained at the Native Agricultural College at Fort Cox.
