"The Colombo Plan Exhibition, which was held at Colombo, Ceylon, was designed to promote and explain the six-year programme of economic and social development in South and South East Asia. The exhibition was divided into five sections, and in the international section, each of the participating countries had its own pavilion. The exhibits showed the resources which the countries can contribute towards the development of South and South East Asia. Countries who took part in the Exhibition were the United Kingdom and her territories in south and south east Asia, the United States, Canada, Australia, India, Pakistan, Ceylon, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos and the Maldive Islands.
