Dunedin, New Zealand - 23 May 2012 A man walks down Baldwin street in suburban Dunedin. Waling up is rather harder! According to the Guinness Book of Records, thus street - in the North Island of New Zealand - is the steepest residential street in the world. At around 350m length, it's pretty short, but the slope varies between 19 and 35%, making it a killer to climb up. Fortunately, there's a public water fountain at the top.
