Queenstown, North Island, New Zealand - 21 May 2012; In my humble opinion, Queenstown, a scenic resort town in Otago Province of New Zealand's South Island, is one of the most beautiful places in the world to live. It is built around an inlet called Queenstown Bay on Lake Wakatipu, a long thin glacial formation, and has spectacular views of nearby mountains including the Remarkables Range, Cecil Peak and Walter Peak. The town is beautiful all year, but particularly stunning viewed from the surrounding hills, as seen here.
