Pulmonary vein leiomyosarcoma, light micrograph. Primary cardiac sarcomas are exceedingly rare. This image shows a high-grade leiomyosarcoma arising from one of the pulmonary veins near the left atrium. The tumour cells are highly pleomorphic and are arranged haphazardly.
