Quicker Tickets at Victoria -- A view of the rebuilt Eastern Section Booking Hall at Victoria Station (London), showing the glass-fronted ticket office and passengers buying tickets. The new hall, opened to-day, replaces the one which was badly damaged during the war. It will serve tickets to most of Kent. Centrally-heated and lit with fluorescent lighting - of intermediate white and gold colours to give a warm and comfortable atmosphere - it contains bookstall, telephones and timetable stands. Behind the scenes there are new type racks for the booking clerks, designed for the speedy issue of tickets. February 05, 1951.
