Harvest mice (Micromys minutus) climbing on teasel seed heads (Dipsacus fullonum). These small rodents are native to Europe and Asia. Being extremely active climbers, they are usually found in areas of tall grass such as cereal crops, roadside verges and hedgerows. In these favourable habitats they feed on seeds, insects, nectar and fruit. Photographed in March, in Dorset, UK.
