Lord John Russell (1792-1878). English statesman; In February 1854 he introduced a new Reform Bill; but had to withdraw it in April of the same year. Because of mismanagement of this issue; and of the Crimean campaign and of the Vienna conference he had to resign as Foreign Secretary in Lord Aberdeens coalition. From Punch; London; 1854.
