Euclid space telescope being prepared for thermal vacuum testing. Euclid will be subjected to extreme temperature cycles under vacuum to replicate the temperature variations it will experience in space during operation. The Euclid telescope launched on 1st July 2023. It is part of the European Space Agencys (ESA) Cosmic Vision programme. The mission aims to explore the nature of dark energy and dark matter in the universe. The Euclid telescope will create a large-scale map of the universe by observing billions of galaxies. It will explore how the universe has expanded and formed over cosmic history.
