The foremost of the Danish ships is the Sjoelland [or Sjaelland], the second is the Skjold, and the Thor comes last, all steaming their best in pursuit of the retreating foe, despite a shower of shot and shell from the Prussian gun-boats flying through the air and falling harmlessly into the sea. The land beyond is the Isle of R?gen, on the Baltic coast, just opposite Copenhagen...The Loreley and one of the corvettes were badly raked; and their loss of killed and wounded, which they say, were one officer, a pilot, and thirteen men, must have been considerable. It is well known that Prussia (like Russia) does not allow her real losses to transpire. The Danish Admirals ship had three seamen dead and nineteen wounded; the other ship none.
