Thuggee (from Hindi 廜虐ag ???hief?? verb, thugna, to deceive, from Sanskrit sthaga ???unning?? ???ly?? ???raudulent?? ???ishonest?? ???coundrel?????? is the term for a particular kind of murder and robbery of travellers in South Asia and particularly in India.
