Anti-Corn Law Repeal hat: W Marriott, a London hatter, produced a hat with a print in the crown supporting Free Trade and the abolition of Corn Laws. From 1815 until final repeal in 1846 Corn Laws protected domestic grain production against foreign competition, thus keeping the price of bread high.
