Solar eclipse. This composite image shows the diamond ring phenomenon positioned either side of an image of totality. The diamond ring phenomenon occurs as the Moon makes it's final move over the Sun during the eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs when a portion of the Earth is in the shadow cast by the Moon as it fully or partially blocks the Sun. Photographed on 2nd July 2019, in Lambert, Chile.
