Frontal view of the trebles moth (Charanyca trigrammica) resting on a branch in a garden habitat. The species is identifiable by the three lines from which it gets its name with both light and dark colouration being common. The flight period is May to July with a single generation each year. This species is a member of the noctuidae family and is found widely across the UK and the paleartic ecozone. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in May.
