Green milkweed locust (Phymateus leprosus). This locust is a pest of citrus farmers in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It raises and rustles its wings when alarmed and produces a fowl smelling foam when threatened. Photographed in Hogsback, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
