The Church of the Messiah, Broad-street, Birmingham, 1862. ...at the corner of Broad-street and St. Peters-place a spired tower rises to the height of 150ft. The style is geometrical, and the material employed throughout is stone...the two schoolrooms together will accommodate about 400 children. The entire cost has been about ?10,000. The architect was Mr. Bateman, of Birmingham; and the builders were Messrs. Branson and Gwyther. From "Illustrated London News", 1862.
