Transition between aerial images of the Gravelly Hill Interchange, colloquially known as Spaghetti Junction, taken in the middle of the 20th century and in 2004. The railway line crossing from left to right remains, but in 2004 is dominated by the sprawling road junction. The interchange was built between 1968-1972, and connects the M6 motorway with the A38(M) road, and several other local roads, and also traverses two railway lines, two rivers and three canals. The junction is in the northeastern part of Birmingham, UK.
