Vesicular protein transport. Animation of proteins being moved in a cell's Golgi apparatus by a process known as vesicular transport. The proteins are the yellow objects attached to the membrane of the Golgi apparatus. This membrane forms a sphere (vesicle) around them (a process called budding off) and moves from the cis-face to the trans-face of the Golgi apparatus, passing through folds called cisternae.
