Giant drummer cockroaches Blaberus giganteus, several adults, including one at center, possessing wings, warming themselves on log. With a length approaching 10 cm, the giant drummer is the world磗 largest cockroach. It is found in tropical areas of Central and northern South America as well as the West Indies, and prefers living in dark and damp caves. Its diet includes rotting wood, fruit, dead insects, and decaying matter.
