Sea otter (Enhydra lutris) wrapped in kelp. The sea otter is a small marine mammal that inhabits the coastal waters of the northern Pacific Ocean. It feeds by day on sea urchins and other invertebrates living on the seabed, which it hunts in short dives of one or two minutes. When it is not feeding, it typically rests on the surface, sometimes wrapping itself in kelp to prevent it from being swept away. Filmed in Elkhorn Slough, California, USA.
