White-throated sparrow (Zonotrichia albicollis) puffing its feathers for warmth as it perches on branch on cold, snowy day in Ohio woods. Adults can be distinguished from other sparrows by the yellow patches between its eyes and beak. These birds are found throughout much of North America east of the Rockies, but excluding most of Mexico.
