Timelapse footage of the aurora borealis, or northern lights, over the Arctic landscape of Lapland in northern Sweden. The footage shows strong auroral activity as well as a conjunction between two brightest planets in the night sky, Venus and Jupiter, near the end of the clip. When bright, the aurora brightly illuminates the night landscape. Aurorae are produced by the collision of high-energy charged particles, carried from the Sun by the solar wind, with atoms and molecules in Earth's upper atmosphere.
